D-Day Commemoration at the Oklahoma Science Museum

WWII ADT Members Gordon Stewart and Andy Bennett provided a static display of airborne (both paratroop and gliderborne) equipment for a D-Day Commemoration at the Oklahoma Science Museum on June 6, 2011.  The ADT display was in conjunction with a book reading of "D-Day: American Character", a book designed to teach young people about D-Day and the character traits associated with the soldiers that made the invasion of Europe possible.

The team display was visited by a large and very diverse audience at the Science Museum; this is certainly an event where we were able to discuss D-Day and airborne history with many young people we might not have reached otherwise.  If you are interested in the book mentioned, you can check it out at Amazon below.
